The Kingdom of the Cambria

One crown.
Hunted by all.

One man wears the Prestige and moves through the real world. Every other man in the kingdom is hunting him — by bearing, by distance, by wit, and by the friends he can call on. When he is caught, the crown changes hands and the hunt begins again.

The hunt

A Location Ping gives you a bearing and a distance, coarsened. A Compass gives you a needle. Neither gives you him — that is the work.

The fellowship

Twelve Realms, their Houses, and the Clans within them. A man belongs to the lineage that brought him in, and speaks in the rooms his standing opens.

The standing

Aspirant, Hunter, Ranger, Knight — grades earned by deeds in the field, not bought. The peerage is conferred by the kingdom, never sold.

◆

A man is brought in, never signed up

There is no form on this page that makes you a member. Every man in the kingdom was vouched for by a Pedagogue who put his own name behind him, and took the Oath of the Recruit in his own words. If you would join, find the man who would sponsor you.

A Pedagogue may send his student the Box — the ring, the coin, the colours of his clan, the book of Triads. It is a gift and never an entry fee: the kingdom admits a man with no purchase by anyone, and every member draws the same monthly allotment.
